Starting Monday 27 January and lasting for six weeks eastbound HGVs will overnight be diverted through Marlborough, down the A346 and then on to the A4 to Hungerford. The London-bound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 15 (Swindon) and 14 (Hungerford) is to be resurfaced, closures will be between 9pm and 6am so the eastbound large trucks will be thundering down Herd St and turning left at the Wye House roundabout towards Hungerford.
It won’t be every night, there will be some nights where lane closures are in force and vehicles can still carry on along this section. Works are due to be finished on Friday 7 March.
