A new deli home delivery service, The Roundsman, has launched in Marlborough. Tom Charles and Rob Pink, who are both passionate about good food from small local producers, have launched a weekly delivery service to households within a seven-mile radius of Marlborough. And they will ensure packaging is as eco-friendly as possible by replacing the use of single use plastic with compostable packaging and recyclable glass.
Tom told Marlborough.news, “We’ve launched The Roundsman App in Marlborough to help support our amazing local producers and deliver their produce to people in and around Marlborough, with old fashioned levels of value and service.
We’ve scoured our fab county and those that touch our borders, to bring to local people the absolute best from one convenient App. Suppliers include: The Old Cheese Room, Corsham, Ivy House Farm, Frome. The Four Cheese Brother’s, Ludgershall, The Wiltshire Smokehouse, Frome. CiderNiks, Hungerford and Marshalls Bakery Pewsey among others.
We can’t go out to eat anymore so let’s have some top luxury food to eat at home. Some of my top favourites include smoked chicken from The Wiltshire Smokehouse, an amazing cheese called Pippin from Sam Guiness in Ludgershall and Truffle Pearl curd cheese from The Old Cheese Room in Corsham.”
Customers can build their own box to be delivered on a Thursday or Friday. There is a minimum order of £25 and no delivery charge. Orders have to be made by 5pm on Sundays. The Roundsman offers fruit and vegetables, smoked salmon and trout, hand-crafted cheeses, cider and more.
Tom commented, “We hope we are offering something a little bit different. Farm shops often all sell the same products. We are supporting our local businesses and amazing producers.”
