Kennet Vale Table Tennis Club is going from strength to strength in Marlborough with its junior players leading the way. Based at the Kennet Valley Hall in Lockeridge, seven juniors were participating at a recent Wiltshire Ranking event, held at Dauntsey’s School. This compares to the three entrants from KVTTC at the same event the year before which shows the remarkable growth of the club in the past year.

Dauntsey’s Tournament
Wearing their new club shirts, the Kennet Vale juniors played excellently. Some were at their first-ever tournament and were there primarily to gain experience. Others were trying to improve their ranking from last year. All KVTTC players represented themselves and the club very well. There were some really encouraging results from the juniors.
Wiltshire Cadets
Kennet Vale’s Arthur Ramsden was ranked 4th in Wiltshire in the Cadet category. He was was called up to play for the county at a March tournament in Cardiff as a result. Sporting his very green Wiltshire shirt, he played strongly and it was a great introduction to more competitive table tennis.

At the Kennet Vale Table Tennis Club end of season competition for Juniors, Edward Thomas came through to win the trophy this year.
Hunt Cup Victory for Marlborough Table Tennis Players

The KVTTC ‘D Team’ also won the Devizes and District Hunt Cup – a competition amongst all members of the league.
The Kennet Valley Hall has long been the centre for Table Tennis players in Marlborough. The Club runs Junior and Adult sessions on Friday evenings and Wednesday mornings and League games on Tuesdays.
New players young and old are always welcome, please get in touch with club leader Richard Ramsden on 07568 648468 before coming along.
