Marlborough’s High Street Post Office will be closing on Tuesday 24 April (at 5.30pm) for two and a half weeks, reopening on Friday 24 April at 1pm (see previous story).
The white KCT minibus will leave the Jubilee Centre in the High Street (adjacent to the Polly Tea Rooms) at 11am on the three Wednesdays: 8, 15, 22 April. The service will be free but a small donation will be appreciated.
Kennet Community Transport Chairman Alexander Kirk Wilson said: “it is a pleasure to be able to help. The bus and Roly the driver usually have a gap in the middle of the day after they have brought people in to the New Road Centre and the Jubilee Centre, before taking them home again.”
“An example of how the Kennet Community Bus Service can step in and help in times of real need” he added.
