Yesterday, November 3, Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (KAMP) announced on their webpage and on Facebook that they have no more flu vaccines left for the under 65’s and have been unable to order any more. However, they do have enough flu vaccines for those who already have an appointment and for the over 65’s.
Here is the announcement from KAMP in full :
“After a week of contacting all the manufacturers of the flu vaccine, we have unfortunately been unable to order any more stock for our under 65’s. There was a limited opportunity to place an order and we needed to have used up all of our original stock before we could place a new order.
We used this up on our last mop up clinic on Friday 20th November and then spent last week trying to secure more vaccines.
We have now heard back from all of the suppliers and they no longer have any appropriate vaccines left. We will continue to check in with the manufacturers and our colleagues in other GP surgeries to see if they have any returned or not used stock that we can have.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. We had hoped to order enough to complete our under 65 “at risk” patients and then order enough to cover the new cohort of patients (those between 50-64).
If you still require your flu vaccine, please do contact the pharmacies as they might have additional stock. If you have an appointment for your flu vaccine, please do keep to this as we have stock left for those already booked in. (We also have stock left for our over 65’s).”
