Paramedic Tim Owen from the Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (KAMP) has raised an amazing £945 for the disaster relief charity, REACT, by growing a full beard and then shaving
it off. Tim now sports a very fine moustache, the style being chosen for him by his KAMP colleagues! Tim has promised to ‘wear’ the moustache for a full month!
REACT is a disaster and crisis response charity, operating both in the UK and overseas. Established in 2015, teams of volunteer REACT Responders have the skills and training to rapidly identify and meet critical needs, helping people and communities affected by sudden or unexpected events.
Tim has travelled to many different parts of the world with REACT to support disaster relief. He was most recently deployed to Turkey to help the local rescue effort in the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes.
