“We are truly blessed with such wonderful weather” said Marlborough in Bloom Chairman Anne Crowley. “Such an enormous effort from all the volunteers, the Committee, Richard Beale and the Estates team will make today a success, and everything looks absolutely stunning” she added.
Judging today is for the main Town entry and also two of the ten ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ entries – The Merchant’s House and Kennet Place, with judges returning on 28 July to view the remaining eight.

The judging route also included Wye House and the Community Orchard, Coopers Meadow, The Green and The Parade. A large amount to cover on a very hot day. Then back to the Town Halll for refreshments and ‘Bee’ Cup Cakes, and a group photograph of everyone involved who made this year’s entry happen – the volunteers, committee, Town Council team including Shelley Parker, Town Clerk and Estates Manager Richard Beale.
When will Marlborough find out how successful this year’s entry has been? At Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton, on Thursday 6 October. With today’s weather as a boost to make the Town look at it’s finest – who knows, maybe a good omen………
