With police dogs in action and a helicopter circling overhead, Marlborough residents will be forgiven for thinking there was something much more dramatic than a ‘domestic incident’ occurring on Monday night (January 19).
But that’s just how Marlborough police are describing the incident that led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man, who was subsequently charged with assault and criminal damage.
Police were called to an address in Cherry Orchard at 8.20pm, and arrested the man in Angel Yard, off Marlborough High Street. He will appear before Swindon magistrates on Wednesday, February 4.
