Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-vehicle collision left four people in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened last night (Sunday) at around 11.45pm on the A346 close to Ogbourne Downs Golf Club.
Police said a a silver Toyota Corolla was involved in a collision with a blue Audi A4 and a black Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a man from Swindon area, sustained serious internal, head and leg injuries, which are described as life threatening. He was taken to Southmead hospital.
The driver of the Audi sustained serious leg injuries. He was also taken to Southmead.
The passenger and driver of the Astra, both women from Bristol, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the GWH in Swindon.
The A346 was completely closed to traffic in both direction for more than four hours to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.
