Sergeant Clare Wallace, the Marlborough and Pewsey neighbourhood policing team sergeant, has posted (November 17) five images on Twitter – each one taken from CCTV recordings and concerning two separate crimes: a theft in Marlborough and a case of fraud in Great Bedwyn.
People are asked to help identify the man pushing a shopping trolley. Police want to speak to him in connection with the theft of £300 worth of champagne and gin stolen from Waitrose on November 16.
The other crime is a fraud perpetrated at Great Bedwyn on 6 November 2014. All four images (below) show men inside a Post Office – and in one case actually talking through the grill to the counter clerk. No further details of this crime are given.
In both cases people are urged to contact the police on the 101 number if they recognise any of these five men or had seen them near the scene of the crimes.
If you are phoning from a number within Wiltshire, the 101 number puts you through to the Wiltshire Police headquarters.
