At the full meeting of the Town Council on Monday (January 26), Councillor Rose was nominated by Councillor Kirk Wilson who said she had been a “very distinguished Deputy Mayor” holding the office with “great dignity.”

Mrs Rose has been a town councillor for thirteen years – with a four year break while she looked after her husband.
Councillor Rose will be installed during the official ‘Mayor making’ ceremony which will take place during the Council’s annual meeting on Monday, May 18.
