On 6th December there will be a ‘Christmas Cabaret’ evening staged at St Peter’s in aid of the Jubilee Centre and Prospect Hospice.
Regularly at Christmas the MantonFest team create a seasonal event in aid of local charities and this year, Mantonfest Impressario Roger Grant with Judith Sharp of Salos (Swindon Amateur Light Operatic Society) will be creating a Christmas Cabaret for Marlborough, to be held in the glorious space of St Peter’s.
Judith has arranged for Salos singers to perform, and all involved will be giving their time and efforts free to help both charities, which are of great importance to our community and both in desperate need of funds.
“The idea was not only to give the town a concert with a difference for Christmas. We will start with the usual carols with the help of some of the singers from St. George’s, Preshute and then continue with popular Christmas songs, all with live music.” Roger noted.
The show will start at 7:30pm on (Friday) 6 December and tickets, costed at £10 each are available from the White Horse Bookshop and Elaine’s Travel in the High Street and Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard.
