Many supporters on both sides of the pitch came to cheer Marlborough to victory last Saturday against Stow

Another table-top encounter on The Common this coming Saturday (29 October, at 3pm) when Marlborough Rugby’s 1st XV are up against second placed Witney.

Marlborough’s impressive win last Saturday put then second place team – Stow-on-the-Wold back down to third and pushed Witney, Marlborough’s next opponents up to second place:

The difference is only four points as Witney, along with Marlborough and Stow are the pace-setters in the early part of the season.

A large crowd turned up on Saturday to cheer the team on to victory against Stow, the club are calling for as big a crowd as possible to turn out again to help keep the 1stXV on top of the league.
