
They have both lived in Bottlesford for many decades and are all round ‘good eggs’ – helping identify any problems (like empty grit bins) while they take their regular walks round the village.
Carolyn Whistler, Chair of North Newnton Parish Council, thanked the Pewsey Area Board for their support in the project and she, with Patrick Wilson, PVTP’s Chair, welcomed onlookers to the ceremony before Roy and Gordon cut the ribbon.

“Working collaboratively with parish councils and other organisations, we already have Tourist Information Kiosks in Pewsey at Swan Corner and in Cossor’s Shop – and there are more in the pipeline in villages such as Upavon, Bedwyn, Burbage and Woodborough.”
“Through our relationship with GWR, we also provide information in the waiting nroom at Pewsey station. One of the benefits of being a member of the Partneship is that you can advertise your business in any of these locations.”
The PVTP was set up in 2015 by the Pewsey Community Area Partnership. It is a not-for-profit organisation which promotes the Vale of Pewsey to visitors.
