A new era for D & R Furnishers as they move to new showrooms

After 45 years in The Parade, the Marlborough institution, D & R Furnishers, formerly Dible and Roy, are moving two miles down the road to Elm Tree Park, Manton (just off the A4). The Parade shop will be open until the relocation is complete with discounts continuing from their annual summer sale on all stock and special orders throughout July and August.

Director, Ross Dible, told Marlborough.news, “The new showrooms will enable us to showcase a wider range of products and to have more curated room sets and inspirational displays. Each showroom will allow customers to ‘shop local’ and discover leading furnishing and interior brands close to home. There will be plenty of free parking available. We have been looking for new premises for several years now and we are pleased to have been able to find somewhere that is not too far from Marlborough.”

The first new showroom will be a comprehensive ‘Flooring Library’ outlet which will specialise in carpet and flooring displays from current brands such as Brintons, Crucial Trading, Amtico, Woodpecker and Westex. D & R’s complimentary free-of-charge, measuring-up service will remain available to local customers.

Adjacent is the second D&R Furnishers showroom which will showcase a range of furniture, fabrics, wallpapers, curtains, blinds, and accessories showcased in inspiring room-set displays. At the rear of the showroom, customers will find the ‘Designer Sample Room’, where they can explore an array of designer fabric brands and samples including the vintage country charms from Cheney Penrose and the latest designs from renowned British brands such as Colefax and Fowler, Sanderson, and Romo.

Another new room in the D&R Furnishers showroom is their ‘Fabric Roll & Trimmings’ library where customers can explore a wider selection of fabric options, trimmings and accompanying interior products such as poles, tracks, and lining options. D&R Furnishers’ free at-home measuring service for curtains, blinds and shutters will also continue.

D&R Furnishers Directors and staff will host a customer open day at the new showrooms with special offers and details announced closer to the time which is hoped to be in late August or September.
