1,400 pupils from 26 local schools participated in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon at Marlborough College on Sunday 19 May. So far they have raised £129,407 for Restless Development and numerous other charities chosen by the participating schools.

The Knight Frank Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest sport fundraising event for 7-13 year olds and it is organised by the global youth charity, Restless Development, who work with young people in challenging circumstances to help them change their lives and the lives of their communities. 10, 000 young people will be taking part this year across 10 events in the UK between April and June and will raise over £1 million to support over 100 charities Thanks to event sponsors, Knight Frank, Bentley Motors and Neilson Beach Holidays the much needed funds raised will go directly to charity.
The local Schools Triathlon has been held at Marlborough College since 2017. Pupils ran, swam and cycled a total equivalent to the distance between Bristol and Barcelona. Over 2000 attended, including local businesses. Volunteers and Marlborough College students ensure the event ran smoothly.
Eddie, JJ and Wolf, from Caldicott School, were one of the top fundraising teams, raising £3,016. They commented, “We are so lucky to have what we have now, to have all these opportunities and we want other people to have these same opportunities.”
