Wiltshire health service provider is ‘Outstanding’

Here is some reassuring – very good – news about NHS services for our area.

The Chippenham based company Medvivo have retained their ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Medvivo are contracted to deliver health care services across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath & North East Somerset.  These include NHS 111, telecare, urgent care and urgent care at home schemes, the clinical assessment and access to care services  and GP Out of Hours doctors – who for our area are based at Savernake Hospital.

Medvivo, who employ over 300 people, were rated ‘Outstanding’ in 2017.  After the CQC inspection in January, they were rated as overall ‘Outstanding’.

They were found to be ‘Good’ as regards safety and running effective services, and were ‘Outstanding’ in the key areas of being caring, responsive and well-led.
