Waitrose’s green disc support for local charities is going truly green this month, to raise funds to buy Grow and Sell Seed Kits for local schools.
“This is a Waitrose initiative, which we launched in April when we gave seed kits to four local primary schools,” Janice Kingstone, the Marlborough Waitrose community matters champion, told Marlborough News Online.
“We would like to support more local schools to grow their own produce and use monies raised to order more seed kits, to donate to local schools.”
Marlborough’s Literary Festival and the Youth Adventure Trust are the two other organisations be supported this month, while last month Follow Your Dreams received £382, Open Minds £326 and the Marlborough Development Centre £292.
