June 1-7 is national Volunteers’ Week which will focus this year on saying ‘Thank you’ to the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society’s increasing needs.
Three quarters of the people who work for the Citizens Advice Bureau service are volunteers and they say they simply could not carry on without them. They are always looking for more volunteers.
During the week Wiltshire Citizens Advice is holding open days throughout the county. Those interested in helping the service locally can drop into their open day at the Devizes Citizens Advice Bureau in New Park Street (SN10 1DY) – Wednesday, June 5 10.30am-12.30pm.
Volunteer staff from Devizes are in the Marlborough Bureau at the Quaker Meeting House in The Parade every Tuesday 10.00am until 2.00pm. Find out more in our previous report.
The Citizens Advice Wiltshire telephone advice line is open on weekdays 9am-5pm – 0844 375 2775.
