The Manton Estate has been sold – subject to contract. The name of the buyer has not been released.
The Sangster’s estate of over 2,000 acres, which includes racing stables and a large acreage of arable land, was put on the market in April for offers in excess of £26million.
The property has been taken off the websites of the two agents – Strutt & Parker and Adkin of Wantage – and removed from other property websites. It was advertised as “One of England’s finest estates”.
There had been fears the estate would have to be split up and the sales documents listed seven possible lots if a single buyer was not found. But recent reports say that the buyer has bought the whole estate.
