Update: We have been informed by Police today that very sadly the lady involved in the accident has died in hospital. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.
Earlier today (Saturday 12 November) a serious one vehicle collision at Cadley caused the A346 to be closed between the Salisbury Road roundabout in Marlborough and the Wootton Rivers turning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.15pm following a report that a Suzuki Swift travelling northbound had collided with a tree.
No other vehicles were involved.
The driver – a woman in her 80s – was taken to Southmead Hospital by air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
