It is now confirmed that it was a microlight that crashed at Manton on Tuesday. Police, air ambulance and the Marlborough Fire Station team were called to the crash scene.
Marlborough neighbourhood police are asking anyone who saw a light aircraft crash into a field at Manton on Tuesday, September 8 shortly before 4.30pm to contact them.
Two men who were on board the aircraft were taken to hospital by ambulance. They are not thought to have life threatening injuries.
Police are working with the Air Accident Investigation Branch, but at present the circumstances of the crash are not known.
