Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s THINK DRINK campaign and its new Ambulatory Care Service have been shortlisted out of over a thousand entries in the Health Service Journal’s prestigious annual awards honouring outstanding achievement in NHS care across the country.
The THINK DRINK campaign was shortlisted for the Patient Safety Award for its new approach to ensuring patients drink enough liquids while they are in hospital.
The Ambulatory Care Team has been recognised for their ground breaking work developing a new service within GWH which improves the treatment experienced by people who go to A&E but do not require admission or even an overnight stay in hospital – this includes patients with headaches, breathlessness or epileptic fits.
The Trust will find out whether they have won a coveted Health Service Journal award at a ceremony in London on November 20.
