The annual Feast of Food in aid of Cancer Research UK saw very happy crowds of visitors and exhibitors at the College on Saturday (October 25) and, with not all the figures in yet, it raised £10,000.
Anne Deuchar, who has been involved in CR UK’s local fundraising for many years, told Marlborough News Online: “CR UK is not government-funded so they rely hugely on the contributions from the fundraising teams across the country – so we are very, very proud of our efforts in helping fund their amazing research into possible cures of the devastating disease of cancer.”
Anyone who missed the event and wants to contribute can make donations at the CR UK website.
The team is already starting to organise next year’s Feast of Food – which will be the event’s fifteenth year. Anne added: “We would love to have more volunteers on our team. Anyone interested in joining us, please contact me: anne@marlboroughcancerresearch.org
