The Hub @Overton Framing Studio is hosting a candle making workshop on Thursday September 23. Run by trained candle makers, mother and son team, Paula and Edward White, the workshop is for complete beginners. Participants will create their own natural soy wax candles.
Edward told Marlborough.news, “We started the candle making business after the first lockdown and plan to run workshops all over Wiltshire. Participants will learn about how our sense of smell works and how we can use fragrance to influence our mood and emotions. They’ll take a look at the scent wheel along with the scent pyramid and find out how these can be used to combine various scent combinations.
Participants will then have the opportunity to create their own 180ml soy wax candle. The candles will need to be cured overnight, so they will be posted out after the workshop. All equipment, materials and finished candles along with postage are included in the price.”
