From Sunday (May 31) the Stagecoach service 70 will no longer exist. It becomes the service 80 from Swindon to Ludgershall, connecting in Marlborough. Some journeys will change to a service 8 in Chiseldon.
The changes mean that instead of the 70 route’s fourteen through journeys each day, Stagecoach’s 80 service will make ten through journeys with change of bus routes in Chiseldon on three weekday services.
The changes result from a major review of the bus network in the Swindon area by Stagecoach West. They say of the changes to the 70/80 route: “The timetable has also had some alterations to improve reliability…”
This is a commercial service and is not subject to changes in Wiltshire Council’s bus subsidy programme.
The 80 service timetable that starts on May 31 can be found here.
