One of Lambourn trainer Nicky Henderson’s best known and successful horses, Bobs Worth, will be parading for this fans at the open day being held by the Greatwood Charity at Clench Common on Sunday, August 31.
Bobs Worth won the Hennessy in 2012 and the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2013.
The open day (11.00am to 4.30pm) will include a dog show, a parade of Greatwood’s retired horses (they have over fifty there at present), a demonstration by up and coming New Zealand eventer Lizzie Brown (who is based locally) and much else besides.
If you are not old enough to have had a flutter on Bobs Worth’s outings, there is always Tractor Ted to entertain you.
Greatwood looks after retired racehorses and use them to help and to educate children and young adults with special educational needs.
The open day is at Rainscombe Hill Farm, Clench Common, SN8 4DT.
