Mcfarlane Estate Agents raised £532 for Preshute Primary School by organising a raffle at MantonFest. Today, July 20, Victoria Convey and Alice Gregory, representatives from McFarlane, presented the cheque to the school.
Victoria Convey told marlborough.news, “We were keen to support the local community and as we were holding the raffle at MantonFest it made sense to donate the proceeds to Preshute School. People were very generous in buying the tickets and we’d also like to thank all the Marlborough shops and businesses who donated prizes. Prizes included books, toys, beauty products, home gifts and meals for two in several of our local restaurants.”
Preshute Headteacher, Claire Hann-Perkins, said, “A huge thank you to McFarlane for the donation. It was really kind of them to think of us. Schools are always short of money and any extra helps to support the learning in the school and enhances every pupils’ experience of school.”
The school council will help to decide how the money is spent with books for the library and playground equipment such as basketballs high on the list.
