We are a Community Centre in the middle of the High Street providing a variety of friendly support to enable the older citizens of Marlborough to remain in their homes longer. Our services include:- Meals on Wheels, Lunch Club on Thursdays, Fun and Chat on Wednesday afternoons, and our core business, Day Care on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
We are looking for a new Manager. Experience with older people, some with dementia, preferred but not essential, however managing people is. You may have adult social care qualifications but if not, other professional ones may well be transferable for this hands-on and managerial position.
Good communication skills are essential as the Manager has to work closely with members, the Deputy, family members, other professionals and an army of volunteers.
Day Care is the heart of this Charity. The Manager is responsible for the organisation of the Day Care, leading a small, tightly knit team of Deputy, cooks and the volunteers as well as budgeting and transport.
Given the varied nature of the job, applicants need a flexible, empathetic approach and a generous sense of humour.
Salary £22,000-£25,000 dependant on experience. Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and part of Wednesdays.
