Monday (July 22) sees the opening of an art exhibition in St Peter’s Church showing all week works by members of the Haydon Artist’s Society
The Haydon Artists’ Society is a Swindon based art group. They meet once a week to share their interest in art – providing a quiet and friendly environment.
Each member of the group, no matter what age or skill, brings their art knowledge and experience to create a unique and individual work.
Once a month the members of our group can make a choice of taking part in a ‘theme evening’. Some of the recent ones were: New Beginnings, Farm Animals, Water or Henri Matisse.
Other inspirations come from painters, photographers or life models, who visit our group and introduce new ideas and put our skills to test.
One of the members told marlborough.news: “By exchanging and bringing lots of art information into our meetings some amazing and inspirational work is produced and this July we would like the public to take a look at our fantastic creations at Saint Peter’s Church in Marlborough between 22nd and 28th July.”
“Come along and if you think you could be part of our group why not come and meet us.”
The exhibition is open Monday-Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm. And Sunday, July 28 from 10am to 3pm. You can out more about the Society on their website: http://www.haydonartists.co.uk/
