Not only will the pumping station be in steam – powering the world famous Boulton & Watt beam engine dating from 1812, and a Harvey of Hayle Cornish beam engine built in 1846 and rebuilt in 1905 – but there will be a display of traction engines and vintage cars too.
Other attractions include demonstrations of rural crafts, a tombola, live music, real ale, and boat trips on the canal.
Entry to the site is £4, or £10 including a tour of the engine house. Under 16s go free. The End Of Season Steam Gala runs from 10.30am until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27.
