
The fortnight of celebrations kicks off on Wednesday, August 26 with race night, and a darts competition the following evening.
Saturday, August 29 sees the crowning of the carnival King or Queen, plus the raising of the flag ceremony.
Sunday, August 30 is the date of the Carnival Fun Day – with Aldbourne Doggy Day, vintage teas, and music from The Strumpets ukulele band. In the evening, there’s more music from The High Society Orchestra at the Carnival Proms Night.
The car treasure hunt and music quiz take place on Bank Holiday Monday, with Carnival Bingo on Tuesday, and a Carnival Quiz on Wednesday.
On Thursday, September 3 Aldbourne Heritage Group will be holding a special meeting, and on Friday Aldbourne Light Entertainment Company presents a murder mystery evening.
The all-important carnival procession and funfair takes place on Saturday, September 5 from 2pm until 5pm, and activities come to a close on Sunday with a church service and Aldbourne Brass pond concert.
