“The Americans in the Marlborough Area in World War II” – A Marlborough History Society talk by Neil Stevens
17 November @ 7:30 pm
Neil is a local person who has grown up in Marlborough. From an early age he has had an interest in the Americans in Marlborough and over the years has been in touch with veterans.
He arranged for the refurbishment of the memorial stone on Marlborough Common which records the presence of an American Military Hospital there. This hospital catered for the wounded from the Normandy Beaches and only closed when the war in Europe moved.
