Textile and Stitch Around Marlborough – Summer Exhibition at the Kennet Valley Hall

In June 2024 Textile & Stitch Around Marlborough will be holding their first exhibition for over 5 years. With a healthy membership we are planning a wonderful display of textile art including hand stitching, free machine embroidery, felting, quilting & patchwork and printing.
As well as independent work, members have taken part in group challenges and these will be displayed for everyone to enjoy. One of our favourite challenges has been the embroidery and embellishment of old denim pockets. These pockets have now been stitched onto a long skirt and visitors will be able to see the diverse contributions which members have created. In addition to the exhibition we will have demonstrations of hand stitching, needle felting, quilting & patchwork, English paper piecing and beading.
Retailers, Sewcraft from Swindon, will be present during all three days so start preparing your shopping list now and there will also be an opportunity to purchase exciting items decorated by our own members. Tea, coffee and home-made cakes will be available throughout the event so come along with friends and make a day of it.
The exhibition will take place at the Kennet Valley Hall, Lockeridge, Nr Marlborough, SN8 4EL on Friday 7 June, Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June and will be open 10.00-16.00. Entrance will be £4.00 – children free.
