‘Storm Clouds Gather’ – an exhibition of works by Oliver Freeman at The White Horse Gallery

Storm Clouds Gather is a collection of recent drawings and prints by artist Oliver Freeman. It is, as he describes, ‘an appreciation of Wiltshire’s big skies, with downland appearing like rolling waves, frozen in a moment of time…’
Much of Oliver’s work reflects his background in architecture and sculpture. He builds up images in black and white to emphasise form and light, without the distraction of colour. His paintings are mainly large, sculptural statements, allowing the viewer to share the same experience as the artist – being drawn in by the dexterity and complexity of the subject being explored.
Storm Clouds Gather will feature large skyscapes, chalk downland, trees and artworks depicting visits to Savernake Forest.
