RWB Orchestra summer concert

 Summer Concert – By the Water with the Royal Wootton Bassett Orchestra

As thoughts turn to holidays and, we hope, sunny summer days on the beach or by the river or lake, join the Royal Wootton Bassett Orchestra for their Summer Concert – By the Water. The concert, on July 13, 7.30pm in the Sixth Form Centre of RWB Academy, SN4 7HG, will be an orchestral showcase of well-known music from light classics, film and pop – all with the theme of water. Wine and chilled soft drinks will be served in the interval. Tickets are £10 for adults, under 16’s free, and are available from our website www.rwbo.org.uk

Climb aboard HMS Pinafore and the Titanic, swoon to Moon River, adore the cygnets in Swan Lake, take a barge cruise down the Thames with Handel’s Water Music, get your feet tapping to the hornpipes and experience the tranquil bobbing of yachts at anchor in Doreen Carwithen’s Suffolk Suite, and more.

RWBO is a well-established local orchestra who, under the guidance of Musical Director, Nicola Ashton, performs at least three concerts a year. Our last concert, Nordic Adventures, held in April in Malmesbury Abbey, and featuring Dominic Irving playing the Grieg Piano Concerto, was a sell-out success.
