a free Promenade Concert in Aldbourne
The 3rd in this year’s free Pond Concerts commences with the wonderful St Michael’s Church Bells
followed by songs from the Aldbourne Community Choir and the Saxon Song Men.
The band will feature traditional “last night of the proms” music including Walton’s Crown Imperial,
The Londonderry Air, Henry Wood’s Fantasia on British Sea Songs along with audience singing of
Rule Britannia,Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.
Tea, coffee and home-made cakes will be available as well as refreshments from the local village pub.
The weather is expected to be fine in a wonderful Wiltshire village setting – bring your garden chairs,
picnics and get ready for some flag waving and a enjoy a fantastic British summertime concert.
