Caroline believes passionately in developing the opportunities for young people and families in Marlborough as well as improving leisure areas and green spaces. With Wiltshire Council’s commitment to refurbish the Leisure Centre in the Autumn and the revitalisation of outdoor community spaces, floral planters and supporting the community orchard helps to make Marlborough a lovely place to live and visit.
However, as everyone knows, the challenge of traffic and congestion at peak times is very evident and Caroline plans to work hard on the proposal to introduce 20mph on George Lane, review the timings of the pedestrian crossings on the A4 and other improvements to ease the traffic flow around Marlborough.
As part of the small business community, Caroline regularly attends meetings and forums to discuss and promote tourism, establish better signage and greater promotion of independent businesses as well as continuing to tackle the challenges of parking and local transport. As a volunteer, she has led outreach projects with the elderly community and had an active role in many local free community events.
Vote for Caroline Wrench to elect an energetic, focussed and committed team player who wants to make a real difference to Marlborough and its community. Caroline will bring energy, focus and ideas to the Council, work hard within the community to understand challenges and issues, and do her best to resolve and improve these. She has a strong track record in community engagement, is honest and hardworking and looking forward to playing an active role as a Town Councillor working for all the residents in Marlborough.
