Dan Bond of Dan’s Restaurant in The Parade, Marlborough, is looking forward to welcoming customers back on Saturday July 4. Dan has been busy during lockdown preparing the outside area of the restaurant ready for action.
On Wednesday, July 1, a fully carpeted marquee was erected which will provide al fresco socially distanced dining for customers. There is also a patio and decking area for beer, wine and cocktails. Until Saturday customers will need to book online for the restaurant. Next week bookings will be taken over the phone.
Tables on the patio and decking are on a first come, first served basis. There are patio heaters for chilly evenings and a sun sail to shield from the sun and rain.
Dan has made few changes to the menu but there are some summer specials such as Stonebass filet and grilled jumbo prawns with a tomato and fennel salad.
Dan told Marlborough.news, “It’s good to be back. It’s been a long three months. I’m looking forward to seeing people and welcoming them back. It will be good to have the place buzzing again – all within Government guidelines of course.”
