Marlborough II 48 – 0 Devizes II
Marlborough II made it four bonus-points wins from four in the Wadworth 6X D&W 2 North In a typically charged match between two local Wiltshire sides. Devizes were looking for their second league win and started the better out of the two. Using organised forwards play to good effect, Marlborough needed a powerful performance to overcome the initial pressure. Of the eight tries scored Callum Hunt scored four witrh the others being taken by Louis Haisman, Nathan Morgan and Serupepeu Niubasaga at, who at 8, was dominant and he carried metre after metre all game, keeping the team going forward and linking well with the backs all afternoon.
Devizes forwards play was effective for short periods, but when Marlborough’s defence forced them to make errors, Marlborough were quick to take advantage, thus reflecting the final score line.
Callum has now scored a total of eight tries in two games which is a fantastic achievement. Viliame Waqanidrola tackling was awesome, maybe even a little intimidating to the opposition which helped win the match.
The boys have this Saturday off, the following Saturday they away to Frome.
