Marlborough were once again frustrated by the weather this month as rain caused the game v Nationwide House – kindly sponsored by DIY Rainbows of Marlborough – to be abandoned.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat Marlborough began their innings in cloudy conditions, but made a positive start thanks to openers Tom Norris 50 not out and Ben Head 36, and were 64-1 in the 13th over when the players were forced to leave the field due to rain.
After the break for rain Marlborough resumed their innings and had reached 114 for 1 when the rain returned in the 25th over and the players were once again forced to leave the field.
With heavy rain falling the umpires were forced to abandon the game.
