Waitrose Marlborough is once again supporting Marlborough LitFest by donating a number of Marlborough Buns to the LitFest Café in Marlborough Town Hall during the weekend of 28 September – 1 October.
The Festival Café is open throughout the weekend in the ground floor of the Town Hall, providing refreshments for LitFest audiences between author talks and events. The White Horse Bookshop also runs a pop-up bookstall next to the Café to buy books from attending LitFest authors.
The Waitrose ‘Marlborough Bun’ is part of its heritage regional recipe series and is a traditional blend of fruit and dough baked into a rustic mound. These buns have become a staple, traditional part of the LitFest Café experience for visitors.
LitFest would like to thank Waitrose for its continued support to the festival. A LitFest spokesperson said, “The Marlborough Buns are a popular treat in our LitFest Cafe over the festival weekend and our authors enjoy them in the Green Room too – the perfect treat with a cup of tea between LitFest talks!”
