As marlborough.news reported last week, Elsie wanted to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society which supports sufferers from this misunderstood disease – and also funds research into possible cures.
She completed her marathon swim fine style – all 2,500 metres of it. As Charlie Monro put it: “She swam 100 lengths successfully – in fact phenomenally well. She did it in one hour and 15 minutes and has raised over £875 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. So proud!”
Her original target had been to raise £450 – and her Just Giving page is still open for donations.
