Tea Inc., the latest addition to Marlborough’s café scene, was officially opened today, September 30 by Councillor Andrew Ross. Cutting the scarlet ribbon, Cllr. Ross said, “I’m very pleased to welcome another independent trader to Marlborough and wish them every success.”
Tea Inc. is situated in the beautiful beamed building which is No 5 Kingsbury Street and is the sister shop to Tea Inc., No 6 The Ginnel, Devizes. Owners, Alan and Ramona Richards have run the Devizes shop for five years and are pleased to be expanding their business to Marlborough.
Ramona told Marlborough.news, “We are very excited about moving to Marlborough. People have been very welcoming.”
There are over seventy-five loose teas on the menu to choose from. There are: black teas, chai teas, oolong teas, green teas, white teas, rooibos, fruit and herbal infusions. Speciality teas include toffee apple pie and turmeric ginger.
A range of coffees is also available together with homemade cakes and scones. In a month’s time there will be a lunch menu available to complement the teas.
All the loose leaf teas can be seen, smelt and purchased in loose leaf packs from the basement shop or from the website. The basement shop also sells a range of tea ware such as caddies and tea-pots.
Tea Inc. will be open every day from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on a Sunday.
