Oare Primary School celebrated Valentine’s Day 2022 in style with a Bake Off competition, guess how many sweets in the jar and wear something you love to school. The events raised £155 for school funds.

The Bake Off competition saw the talented bakers producing their most special creations while wear something you love to school displayed many creative and unusual outfits.
Principal, Gudrun Osborn, said, “By 9am the tables in the school hall were heaving with Valentine’s themed bakes including decorated cookies, cup cakes, gateaux and even homemade waffles and cream.

The competition was judged by a long-time supporter of the school, Victoria Le Seur, who certainly had her work cut out trying to choose the best baker from each class. Our three worthy winners were delighted to receive personalised Bake Off aprons, a medal and a cook book each donated by the school’s PTA.
Our Valentine’s Day celebration ended with a bumper cake sale at the end of the day where the children got to sample each other’s treats, as well as raise £155 for the school. What a ‘choccotastic’ way to start the final week of term!”
