It may be staple BBC daytime TV fodder, but for many it’s ‘very watchable fodder’ and next week it’s coming to Marlborough. Or rather the programmes scheduled for Tuesday 25 March at 3pm is about someone looking to uproot from some conurbation to embrace the charm and beauty of this lovely region. Where? Don’t know but this is the ‘target’ area so could be anywhere around, in the town or more likely in one of the many desirable and delightful villages that abound around Marlborough.
Marlborough itself will be one of the focal points of the programme. And as part of the discovery and uncovering of the secrets of the town’s attraction the interviewers will be talking with former LitFest Chair, Genevieve Clarke. Sure that LitFest will feature highly in what makes Marlborough the town that it is, but – and this is without having had the opportunity to review this edition – likely lots more as well. There is plenty, as we, the residents are well aware.
So pretty good for all Marlborough’s estate agents – expect a few more calls from ‘the smoke’.
Note for the diary: either tune in or set the Sky box or BBC iPlayer – ‘Escape to the Country- Tuesday 25 March, 3pm. Episode 43, Series 55.
