
Marlborough and Manton plan to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May with events planned for the whole bank holiday weekend. Richard Spencer-Williams, Town Clerk, commented, “As for the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II last year there has been a great response from the community to suggest events, get involved and volunteer time to make all the plans become a reality.”

The Town Council has already organised a whole series of litter picks to get Marlborough and Manton fit for a king – and community tidy days are planned for the Bank Holiday Monday too.
The Town Council will also be planting a commemorative tree on the King’s birthday, 14 November.

Councillor Nicholas Fogg, Mayor-Elect (and likely to be Town Mayor at the time of the Coronation), is delighted that former St John’s student, Ben Cipolla, will be performing at the High Street Party.
