The first ‘Blockbuster of the year’ arrives in The Parade Cinema next Tuesday week (23 January) at 6:30pm when the cast and ‘Production Team’ of the Cinema come together to tell you all you ever wanted to know about running a successful independent cinema. And give you the opportunity to say what you want to see.
Directed by Fletcher Legg (Cinema General Manager, when not directing proceedings), starring Robert Hiscox in the lead (Oscar nominated?) role with Shelley Whitehead, Issy Farrell, and the rest of the Parade Staff Team as supporting cast ensemble.
Entry – £5. And for that you may well get a glass of wine as well…. And popcorn…… Well, what do you expect in a Cinema?
The ‘show’ will be a screening of more than 30 film previews from the upcoming film release programme enabling you to vote for the films you’d like to see in the comfort and embracing digital surround sound and big screen at The Parade Cinema. Genres to be covered will include: Action & Adventure / Comedy / Family / Drama & History / Foreign Language / Thriller / Musical
Doors will open at 6.30pm. The event starts promptly at 6:45pm with a welcome from our team and the chance to learn more about and engage in a Q&A about how we run the cinema. You will be able to learn about how films are selected and programmed for our cinema; how to tell you all about it – the art of marketing in a digital and environmentally conscious world, and how we plan and consider the food and drink offerings and how we staff and manage the cinema. This is also an important part of what The Parade Cinema offers Marlborough. even when not coming int to see a film, where better for a bite, tea, coffee or even just a drink.
Following a Q&A there will be a short interval where you will be served your free glass of wine and mini popcorn tub ready for the film previews. The team have selected a wide range of films from the upcoming schedules available for you to view and comment on – which will help us shape the programme for the year.
What’s to be shown at The Parade Cinema will be what you want to see, so turn up a week Tuesday and just write that script……
