During lockdown, Lola Precious-Ward, an 11-year old from Aldbourne, has been making and selling beaded earrings for the cancer charity Sarcoma UK and has so far raised a very impressive £416 for the charity.
Lola, who is charging £4.00 for a pair of earrings, with all money raised going to Sarcoma UK said “I wanted to do something useful with my time during lockdown and started making earrings – I really enjoy doing it and thought maybe I could sell them to raise money for charity. My mum’s friend has sarcoma and Sarcoma UK have supported her and her family.“
Buyers of Lola’s earrings can choose their colour scheme, which Lola will make to order. She has made 68 pairs so far, and is not planning on stopping, “I am going back to school next week, but want to carry on making earrings and raising money if I can.”
