‘Deadlight Dance’ are just about to release ‘Gloss’, the first track from their forthcoming new (3rd) album, due to be launched next year. The launch will be digital only but the trailer for the single can be seen here.
Who are ‘Deadlight Dance’? A local ‘Wiltshire Goth’ band, with Tim Emery and Nick Fletcher first getting together back in their days at St John’s in the late eighties. And the two of them together, as ‘Deadlight Dance’ emerged during lockdown.
Shortlisted for Best Originals Band and Best Duo at the forthcoming Wiltshire Music Awards – Devizes 25 Oct – they are well known around here. But also gaining popularity right across the UK where their sound, inspired by the likes of The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and All About Eve amongst others hits the right notes.
‘Gloss’, and the new album is also a local production, created, recorded and engineered at Nick Beere’s ‘Mooncalf’ studio in Chiseldon, the home of many acclaimed tracks and albums, not least by local blues band – Barrelhouse – who will be launching their Nick Beere produced new album ‘Open For Business’ at St Peter’s on 15 November.

Catch them next month in Calne at The Brew Tap on Saturday 15, and then in December Devizes at The White Bear on Sunday 7.
